Nokia has just partnered with skype to offer Skype for Symbian through the company’s Ovi Store, Skype for Symbian app will allow Nokia smartphone users worldwide to use Skype on the move, over either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G). It is now downloadable for free from the Ovi Store.
Skype for Symbian offers free Skype-to-Skype calling, cheap calls and texts to phone abroad, instant messaging, Easily import names & numbers from the phone’s address book, Share pictures, videos and other files, file transfers and so on.

Samsung Electronics has just announced a new Jet phone called Samsung Jet 2 in India for Rs. 19,500 or about $420. The Samsung Jet 2 comes with a 3.1 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, TouchWiz 2.0 UI includes new features such as motion UI, smart unlock and customizable widget screen and a 800MHz application processor which allows multitasking.

Rogers just announced that they partnering with Acer to bring the first Acer smartphone, Acer Liquid e to Canadians consumers. This Android smartphone boast with Android OS 2.1, 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.
Acer Liquid e has a 3.5-inch WVGA high-definition capacitive touch screen and features with a 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, Wi-Fi, Full HTML browser, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, and up to 32GB with a microSD card.
